It occurs to me that I would like to implement a comment section. I put things here so others can interact but without a comment section, I'm just talking into the void.
There is a Neocities site called 'Chattable' that offers a chat program. This would allow people to chat in real time on a site. A creator can modify the chat to look any way they want. The thing is, I don't think I have enough views that people would be hanging around to chat with each other. I heard there's a way to turn this program into a more stationary comment section. However, the site isn't accepting new members right now and access could come and go without notice. I haven't found another program for this yet but I'm still looking.
Anyway, nothing much is happening with me. I'm watching all the drama out of Minnesota. I notice that other states with an ICE presence aren't having all these troubles. I'm also thinking, if you wanted to relive the 'sixties, you're doing it.
Also watching the revolt in Iran. I remember the original coup back in 1978. I knew a woman who escaped. We worked together at a gold-by-the-foot stall at the mall. Other Iranian women would come in to chat with her. I found out that Iranian gold is cut with yellow metals while American gold is cut with more white metals. THese women were homesick, but the country they knew no longer existed. With the riots and killings going on now and the crown prince making appearances, I think about my old workmate and wonder if she's watching and cheering this on.
So, trying to find a comment section and watching the news. I did go to see Lord of the Rings, extended editions, in the theater but that's for another post.
